[Allstaff] Festival Stuff!

Dear YMS Teachers,

I'm emailing to introduce myself  and give you some further information 
to get the ball rolling for the YMS Festival 2018.  Please feel free to 
contact me on this email address or 07891 951233 with any query about 
the festival (unless it is about the creative stuff - Roy is you man for 
that!).  I'm usually around for a short time on Thursday evenings 
between 5-6.30pm whilst my daughter is having her lessons, so feel free 
to grab me then too!  My role in the festival to to assist with the 
administration of the show and ensure that everyone (students, staff, 
parents & venue) has the information they need in order to make the show 
happen.  Basically, all the paperwork things that nobody enjoys (apart 
from me - I'm a bit of a weirdo in that respect!).

In order to make the process as communicative as possible could I ask 
please that everyone gets themselves on to Google Drive.  You will need 
a Google account for this which is really simple to set up.  If you are 
unsure about how to do this please give me a shout.  Once on Google 
Drive I can share with you a range of documents and info that you will 
need access to.  It also means that we can all simultaneously contribute 
to documents and makes it much easier to collate information and 
generally know what is happening in the process!

A second way we can communicate is through Facebook.  Jack has kindly 
set up a private YMS staff only group.  If you could join that would be 
great as I will be posting things on there from time to time.

There is also a group for students and parents to join where we can all 
communicate and generally keep the performers up to date with the 
progress of the show.  If you could encourage your students/parents to 
join that would be fab!  They can find it by searching:  Your Music

I will also be sending you a Google form to fill out which asks you 
about your availability on show day.  It is really quick to fill in, and 
if you could get that back to me as soon as possible I'd be really 
grateful.  There is no requirement for all staff to be there all day, 
however if you want to, that is also fab!  I just need to make sure we 
have enough people to cover each show, so any time you feel you can 
contribute to the day of the performance will be very much appreciated.
